When it comes to washing machines, we have always gone with LG. Not just us, but most people in our family have used LG washing machines for years. Over time, this has become a natural choice because LG machines have been reliable and trouble free for us.

We have never really felt the need to experiment much in this category. LG has consistently delivered what we expect from a washing machine, so sticking with the same brand felt sensible.

This is the exact LG washing machine we are currently using and you can check the current details here.

Our experience with the older LG washing machine

Before buying this washing machine, we were using an older LG front load model with a six litre drum. That machine served us for several years without any major issues. Only after long term use did it begin to show small signs of malfunction. Until then, it worked smoothly and did not cause any inconvenience at all.

Because of that experience, choosing another LG washing machine felt like the safest and most practical option for us.

Moving to the eight litre LG washing machine

This time, we upgraded to the LG 8 Kg 5 Star Inverter Wi Fi Fully Automatic Front Loading Washing Machine with Inbuilt Heater, model FHP1208Z5M in the middle black colour. The increase from six litres to eight litres has been clearly useful. The larger drum capacity helps handle regular household laundry more comfortably, especially when washing heavier loads.

In daily use, this washing machine feels just as dependable as our earlier LG model. The washing quality is consistently good, the machine runs smoothly, and it handles regular household loads without any fuss. So far, there have been no issues worth mentioning.

Steam wash option

This model comes with a steam wash feature, which helps with deeper cleaning. It is especially useful for clothes that need extra hygiene. Over time, this feature feels like a practical addition rather than something that is rarely used.

AI based washing technology

Another feature in this washing machine is LG's AI DD technology. The machine automatically adjusts the wash based on the load and fabric type. In regular use, this helps improve washing results while still being gentle on clothes. Compared to basic wash programs, this feels more efficient and better suited for everyday use.

Reliability and long term use

One of the main reasons we continue to choose LG is long term reliability. From our own experience and from what we have seen within the family, LG washing machines tend to last well when used normally. This eight litre model has been no different so far.

Should you consider this washing machine

If you are planning to buy a front load washing machine and are looking for decent capacity, useful features like steam wash and AI based washing, and a brand with a solid track record, this LG washing machine is worth checking out.

We replaced our older LG washing machine only after it had already served us well for many years. With this one, the experience has been positive so far, with no complaints.
