Braun TexStyle 7 Steam Iron Review After Years of Use
We have been using this Braun steam iron for about six to seven years now, and it is still working perfectly. It is a steam iron from the Braun TexStyle 7 series, a model that has been around for quite a long time and has been available at least since around 2017.
When we bought it, we needed a reliable iron for everyday clothes — shirts, trousers, and even tougher fabrics like cotton and linen. At that time, we had heard that Braun was a good company and made durable home appliances. The name really stood for something solid, and over the years, we have not been disappointed.
Right from the beginning, the iron worked well. It heats up quickly, and the steam works reliably without needing to adjust settings too often. The way it glides over fabric is smooth. There were no strange noises, no leaks, and no sudden problems even after years of regular use. Unlike cheap irons that sometimes lose power or steam over time, this one has kept working steadily.
Using it is simple. You plug it in, wait for it to heat up, and start ironing. Filling the water tank is easy, and the steam helps remove wrinkles much faster than just dry ironing. This makes ironing less of a chore, especially on days when there are many clothes to do.
Another thing that matters is that the soleplate (the bottom surface of the iron) glides nicely and does not stick to clothes. With some older irons, you have to force themover thick seams, but this Braun iron slides easily almost everywhere.
Over all these years, we have used it for almost everything that needed ironing at home. It has been part of our routine. We have never had it stop working unexpectedly, never had to repair it, and never seriously considered replacing it. That to us is a sign of reliability.
There is no fancy smart feature or wild design. It is just a steam iron that does its job well, day after day. Braun, as a brand, may not be as flashy with modern home gadgets, but when it comes to a simple product like an iron, it lives up to its reputation. This iron has served our family well without giving us any trouble, and we continue to use it without complaints.
Over time, we realised that some household items quietly become part of daily life without demanding attention. This iron is one such product, much like a few other everyday items we continue to rely on.
This fits well with how we approach buying things now: focusing on what actually gets used rather than what just looks good on paper.
