When we bought an Omron nebuliser for our son, it was not something we had planned in advance. This post is not a technical review or a comparison of specifications. It is simply an account of why we bought this nebuliser, how we used it at home, and what our experience was like during a real illness.
I am writing this for parents who may be wondering whether having a nebuliser at home is useful, and what it is actually like to use one with an infant.
Our son fell sick, and my wife was the one who asked me to get a nebuliser. She was also clear about the brand. She asked me to buy an Omron nebuliser. I went to a nearby pharmacy and bought it from there. 👉 This is the Omron nebuliser we bought.
At the time, I remember thinking that it was not as expensive as I had imagined such a device would be. It felt reasonably priced, especially considering its potential usefulness in emergencies.
Once we brought it home and started using it, it turned out to be very easy to operate. There was no complexity. The parts were simple to assemble, and it did not feel intimidating to use, even in a situation where you are already worried about your child.
He did not allow us to place the mask over his nose and mouth. The vapour frightened him a little, and he kept turning away. We were not sure how this would work, and there was some doubt about whether nebulisation would even be possible.
So we tried something else.
We held the nebuliser at a small distance, close enough for him to breathe in the mist, but not so close that it scared him. To our relief, he allowed that. He stayed calm, and he was able to breathe it in without much trouble.
That was a big relief for us.
Over the next sessions, it clearly helped. His breathing improved, and he recovered more quickly than we had expected. Of course, recovery depends on many factors, but the nebuliser definitely played a role in easing things during that phase.
We have used it only twice so far. It has been kept safely since then. But having it at home gives a certain peace of mind. It is one of those things you hope you won’t need often, but when you do need it, you are glad it is there.
Looking back, I feel buying the Omron nebuliser was a good decision. It was easy to use, not overly expensive, and effective when we needed it. For us, it turned out to be one of those purchases that justified itself the moment it was used.
This is based entirely on our experience of using the Omron nebuliser at home, not on medical advice or product claims.
