Sebamed Baby Cream Extra Soft: Our Experience Using It for Dry Skin

As our son grew, we noticed that he had dry skin on his legs, especially the area below the knees. It was not something sudden. It developed gradually and kept coming back.

In the beginning, we used coconut oil. Being in Kerala, this is something most families are comfortable with, and we were no different. At times, it did help ease the dryness. But after a while, the dryness would return. It never fully went away.

We also reduced the amount of soap we applied in that area, thinking that might help. Even then, the dryness more or less remained.

So we decided to try something else.

We chose Sebamed Baby Cream Extra Soft, which you can find here. This was not a random choice. We had already been using Sebamed products such as Sebamed shampoo and Sebamed soap and we were comfortable with them. So it felt natural to try this next.

After using the cream, we noticed a difference. I would not say that it solved the problem entirely. The dryness did not disappear completely. But it definitely reduced it. The skin felt better, and the dryness was less noticeable.

We ended up using the cream along with coconut oil. That combination worked reasonably well for us. The cream helped manage the dryne
ss, and the oil provided additional moisture when needed.

Over time, this became part of our routine. It was not a dramatic change, but it was a steady improvement, and that mattered to us.

I also know people who use this cream for diaper rashes. In our case, we did not have much of an issue with rashes, so we did not use it for that purpose. I am only sharing how we used it and what it helped us with.

Looking back, Sebamed baby cream extra soft turned out to be a useful product for us. It did not claim to fix everything, and it did not do anything extreme. It simply helped reduce a recurring problem and made things more manageable.
