Babyhug Pro Bubble Care Diaper Review: Why We Used Only This for Our Son

When it came to choosing diapers for our son, my wife was very particular. She did not want to settle for anything less than what she considered to be good quality. From the beginning, she was clear that we would use the Babyhug Pro Bubble Care Premium Advance diapers. These are the Babyhug Pro Bubble Care Premium Advance diapers we’ve been using.

They were definitely pricier compared to many other brands available in the market. But she did not even consider alternatives. There was no confusion or experimentation at the start. We simply went ahead with this. We started using these diapers when he was an infant. At that stage, even putting a diaper on was a challenge. Because of that, we chose the strap-on version of the diaper. It was more convenient and easier to manage during those early days. There may be different opinions on this, but this worked well for us at the time.

As he grew, we continued with the same brand and simply moved to different sizes. Initially, we used the strap-on version, which felt easier to manage during the infant stage. Around the age of one year and six months, we moved to the pants-style diapers. By then, he was more active, and the pants version felt more practical for everyday use. We also wrote about products we used as he grew, such as the furniture corner protectors when he started walking.

From our experience, these diapers were very comfortable for him. Diaper rashes were almost non-existent. This was our experience with these diapersHis skin remained fine, and we did not see the kind of irritation that many parents often talk about. He also seemed comfortable while wearing them.

We were also careful about how we used diapers. We did not keep him in diapers all the time. We used them only when absolutely necessary. During sleep, for instance, diapers were very helpful. Without them, he would often wake up after urinating, which can be quite disturbing for a baby. Using a diaper at night helped him sleep more comfortably.

To be honest, there was one occasion when we tried another brand. We did this out of curiosity, and perhaps to see if there was any meaningful difference. The experience was not good.

After using the other brand, he developed a diaper rash. We were genuinely surprised when we saw this. It was also a bit of a shock to realise how much the quality of a diaper can affect a baby’s comfort and skin health. That one experience was enough for us.

After that, we went straight back to Babyhug Pro Bubble Care and did not experiment again. Around the same time, we were also using a cot at home to safely place him when he slept or played, especially when we needed a controlled space. I’ve written about our experience with that setup separately.

Even now, when he is a toddler, we still use these diapers. The usage has reduced significantly. At this stage, we mainly use them at night and while travelling. He has learned to signal when he wants to use the bathroom, so diapers are no longer needed through the day.

Looking back, I feel that the higher price was justified for us. A diaper stays in close contact with a baby’s skin for long periods, especially during sleep. In such cases, quality matters far more than saving some money.

This does not mean this diaper will suit every child. Every baby is different, and parents have different budgets and priorities. I am only sharing what worked for us and why we chose to stick with it. If you want to check the current size options or pricing, you can find them here.

For us, Babyhug Pro Bubble Care diapers were one of those products where we did not regret paying a little extra. The comfort it provided and the absence of skin issues made the decision easy in the long run. As he became more active and mobile, diapers alone weren’t the only concern. We also had to baby-proof parts of the house because he would explore, pull things down, and bump into furniture. What worked for us in that phase is something I’ve written about separately.
